The Sierra Club website lists extensive environmental resources by location, including listings of farmers markets, organic meat sources, vegetarian restaurants, and information covering many more subjects of interest. This U.S. Dept. of Agriculture webpage lists all North Carolina farmer's and tailgate markets by location. You can also access information on farmer's markets throughout the entire U.S. at this website. Slow Food Asheville - Slow Food is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving food traditions, celebrating the pleasures of the table, and embracing a slower, more harmonious rhythm of life. Using healthy, locally produced food is a primary focus for achieving these goals. The Slow Food Asheville website also lists local farmer's and tailgate markets.
